2. Find new recipes
Many people have the misconception that they will no longer be able to eat their favorite foods once they become a vegan. However, this is not the case! You can easily find vegan versions of your favorite meals by searching for a recipe online or getting a vegan cookbook. Believe it or not, there are vegan substitutes for meat and dairy products that taste just as delicious!
3. Try soy substitutes
You may be worrying how you will receive your needed protein if you cut meat and dairy out of your diet. There is a simple solution to this- soy! Soy is a non-animal protein and, lucky for you, it is found in tons of products at your local grocery store. You can find meat-substitutes made from soy such as soy burgers or meatballs. Soy is also found in foods that are already part of your daily diet such as breads and pastas.
4. Try new vegan restaurants
Vegan restaurants are becoming more and more popular in many cities. Even restaurants that are not fully vegan are beginning to add vegan options to their menus. Explore the community you live in and try to find a yummy vegan spot. Just because you are a vegan doesn’t mean you can’t eat out!
